Course Description:

This session focuses on increasing awareness about the effects of substance use and psychoactive drugs while educating participants on the impact of alcohol and drug abuse. Participants will explore the connection between substance use and mental health disorders, fostering self-awareness and encouraging personal responsibility. By engaging in group discussions, interactive activities, and psychoeducation, participants will gain insights into the physical, psychological, and social consequences of substance use.


Session Objectives:

By the end of the session, participants will:

  1. Understand the physical, psychological, and social effects of alcohol and drug use.
  2. Recognize different types of psychoactive substances and their short-term and long-term impacts.
  3. Foster self-awareness and take responsibility for choices regarding substance use.
  4. Learn about common mental health disorders such as depression and their association with substance use.
